Feedback Services for Higher Education Since 1975
Student Ratings of Instruction
The IDEA Student Ratings of Instruction system focuses on student learning of 12 general objectives, factors out extraneous circumstances, and can be administered online or on paper. The IDEA Center tailors each report to fit the instructor's selected learning objectives and offers recommendations and resources for improvement based on research. Data can be aggregated for program assessment and accreditation.
Feedback for Administrators
Designed for executive leaders in higher education settings, The IDEA Center’s web-based Feedback for Administrators system solicits input on 10 pivotal characteristics, representing five distinct administrative roles. The administrator survey tool gathers impressions on administrative styles, confidence, and job performance, while also identifying areas for improvement. Confidentiality permitting, the respondent sample can be stratified on the basis of a number of roles and relationships.
Services to Support Department Chairs
The IDEA Center provides a suite of services and products for academic department chairs: The Feedback for Department Chairs Survey, Chair Coaching with respected and experienced experts in the field, Department Chair Seminars conducted twice annually by nationally acclaimed practitioner-leaders, and the annual Academic Chairperson’s Conference, co-sponsored with Kansas State University.
